Canal Walk Shopping Centre’s top retailers were honoured at a prestigious function at the Century City Conference Centre, at the presentation of the Canal Walk Retail Excellence Awards 2026.
The awards acknowledged tenants who have provided superior levels of retail performance and customer service. The tenants are awarded in various trading categories including the Best New Store, which went to CHANEL Fragrances & Beauty and Best Refurbishment, which went to Cape Town Fish Market.
The ultimate award, the Canal Walk Retailer of the Year award, which is the highest honour of this annual event, was presented to SPRINGBOKS. This award is presented based on a number of factors, in addition to overall successful trading, including the group’s high level of proactivity and the value that the store adds to Canal Walk Shopping Centre overall.
Canal Walk retailers which were acknowledged as the best in their retail categories included Wolf Bros. Jewellers, Woolworths, ABSA Bank, Retail Box, @home Boulevard Superstore, Château Gâteaux, Freedom Adventure Park, Spec-Savers, Bogart Man, Nicci Boutique, G-Star, Birkenstock, Partners Hair, Le Creuset, Cape Union Mart, Col’Cacchio, Biltong Republic, Old School, Samsonite, LEGO and iStore Pre-owned.
The Retail Excellence Awards is the opportunity to celebrate, recognise, reward and appreciate the best performing tenants for their exceptional contribution to the success of Canal Walk.
